Grimsargh Village Hall, Preston Road, Grimsargh, PR2 5JS

Lying in the heart of our Lancashire village - in a beautiful rural setting – Grimsargh Village Hall is a popular venue for a wide range of community groups and also for public, private and corporate functions.

We are looking to appoint a friendly, energetic, and reliable individual with a range of practical skills for the role of Caretaker to join our team and contribute to the smooth running of the village hall.

Responsibilities include: -

To liase with cleaning staff to ensure the cleanliness of the premises, and create a healthy and safe environment for users of the venue

Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks as required.  Supervising contractors for major repairs.

Ensuring the outside areas of the hall are safe and tidy.  Supervising any gardening and landscaping work.

Inspecting the building including heating, lighting and alarm systems to make sure they are in good working order.

Carrying out and recording all relevant safety checks and reporting any concerns to the Trustees. 

Helping to cover opening and closing of venue for hirers and functions, if needed.

The post is permanent.  The hours worked will be flexible and consistent with the day to day use of the hall.

Qualifications
- The candidate should be well-organized, reliable, conscientious, and flexible. They should also be good at dealing with people.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £15 (Negotiable, depending on skills and experience)

Expected hours: 3 - 5 per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday and Weekend availability
