Girlguiding Needs You!

Help girls build their futures, and develop new skills yourself at the same time.....

Rainbows 2The Girlguiding movement brings a wealth of fantastic experiences within reach of all girls of all ages. Can you help it to continue to grow and thrive in Grimsargh?

Here are some words from one of their local Leaders:

"Grimsargh Rainbows and Brownies are in desperate need of adults to help out. By volunteering with us, you’ll be helping girls build their confidence, have adventures and learn new skills. It doesn’t matter what your experience or background is and you don’t have to have worked with children.

If no one comes forward, the units will close after Easter. That would mean that so many would miss out on the invaluable opportunities that Girlguiding offers.

Volunteering for Girlguiding is a great way of meeting new people and taking a break from your daily routine. You can also build your own skills by taking our leadership qualification, becoming a first aider or qualified outdoor activity instructor and there will be existing Leaders to support you.

Whatever it is you’re looking for, there’ll be something in it for you. There will be a DBS check (free of charge) and roughly 45 minutes of e-learning covering safeguarding required. Other training courses are available too.

Volunteer with us for just a couple hours a week and help support girls in your local community to thrive. 1st Grimsargh Rainbows run on Mondays and Wednesdays, respectively, 5:45-7pm."
