The Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the charity "Grimsargh Village Hall" will be held on Monday 9th October, 7.30pm. Any resident of Grimsargh is, by default, a "member" and can, therefore, attend the AGM.
At the meeting there will be reports on the hall's performance by the Chair and Treasurer, plus elections for the trustees. We do currently have two vacancies for trustees, so if you are interested, very definitely do come along. We don't ever press-gang anyone in to joining us and always recommend a period of working alongside us to see if it fits with what you want to do.
We recently changed our constitution from that of an "Unincorporated Association" to that of a "Charitable Incorporated Organisation" (CIO). Being a CIO brings a number of advantages, including giving limited company status and also making the charity a legal entity, able to own things in its own right (like the building and ground) and enter into contracts itself.
The old charity was called "Grimsargh Village Community Association". As it has now been formally closed down with the charity commission, its financial records are no longer available. However, you can view the Annual Report and Accounts for 2021-2022 here.
Our accounting period ends 30th September, so it is not possible as yet to publish a financial statement for this year, but an interim statement for the year to 11th September 2023 can be viewed here.
